We are seeking an ambitious, motivated, and customer-focused individual to join our team as an Insurance Apprentice.
This is a three-year apprenticeship programme that combines practical workplace experience with professional education. As an apprentice, you will earn while you learn, gaining valuable experience across multiple areas of insurance broking while working towards industry-recognised qualifications.
During the programme, you will:
- Gain hands-on experience within a busy insurance brokerage.
- Work towards the APA (Accredited Product Adviser) qualification.
- Progress towards the CIP (Certified Insurance Practitioner) qualification.
- Complete a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Insurance Practice (Apprenticeship), a Level 8 qualification on the National Framework of Qualifications.
- Receive support from experienced insurance professionals, mentors, and managers throughout your development.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term professional career in a growing and dynamic industry.
Existing Apprentice Testimonial
A note from our existing apprentice, Gavin Hayes:
When I started as an apprentice with Power Insurances, I had no previous experience in insurance, so everything was new to me. At the beginning, the hardest part was learning the systems and getting used to all the insurance terms, as it can feel like a different language when you first start. The support from the team made a big difference. There was always someone willing to explain things, answer questions, and help me build confidence. I have since completed my APA and I am now working towards my CIP, while gaining hands-on experience dealing with clients, insurers, and a range of insurance products across personal lines and some commercial lines. The study side does take commitment, but there is great support provided through Sligo ATU, The Insurance Institute, and our employers. The apprenticeship has helped me gain qualifications, real experience, and a career path I can continue to build on.
