About the Apprentice programme:

We are looking for an ambitious and talented individual(s) who shows the potential to develop into a high performing business professional. This opportunity is a three-year fixed term contract apprentice scheme that provides exposure to all aspects of our business, allowing you to develop your technical expertise as well as professional skills.

While on the programme, in addition to gaining on the job insurance experience, you will complete the insurance industry professional qualifications APA and QFA as well as a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Insurance Practice (Apprenticeship) which is Level 8 on the NFQ awarded by ATU Sligo.

When you join This is Penny, you will receive a tailored induction and will be assigned a supervisor and mentor to provide support throughout the scheme.

 

Associate Client Advisor

As an Associate Client Advisor, you’ll be at the heart of our client experience—combining analytical skills with excellent customer service to help people make confident pension decisions. You’ll work closely with senior advisors to prepare personalised pension analyses, support client meetings, and ensure every customer interaction is engaging, accurate, and reassuring.

What this role entails:

Client Support & Service

  • Act as a first point of contact for client queries, ensuring prompt, friendly, and professional responses.
  • Assist in preparing and delivering client communications before and after meetings.
  • Support the onboarding of new clients, gathering and verifying pension and financial data.

Pension Analysis & Planning

  • Analyse pension scheme documents, statements, and investment options.
  • Prepare tailored pension health reports and summaries for senior review.
  • Assist in modelling pension reports and suggesting appropriate planning strategies.

Advisory Support

  • Work alongside senior advisors during client meetings, taking detailed notes and following up on action points.
  • Help translate technical pension information into clear, client-friendly language.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure all client records, fact finds, and compliance documents are accurate and up to date.
  • Adhere to regulatory requirements and internal processes at all times.
  • Interacting with the Penny IT system in the testing of new jobs and processes (we developed our own online system for managing the business and this is continually evolving.)
  • Undertaking occasional project work.

  • Focused, diligent & be committed to work and studying for a level 8 education programme at the same time.

Minimum Entry Level Requirements

  • Be 18 years of age or older.
  • Mature students – if over 23 years there are no minimum educational requirements - documented interview required.
  • FETAC Level 5 qualification holders
  • Between 18 and under 23 years – Leaving certificate, minimum of 160 points to include two honours in higher level paper and passes in Maths and English/Irish with specific requirements on grades/levels

About the Job Role: Associate Pension Administrator

The role (based in Penny HQ Office Pods, Montrose, Dublin 4) will involve achieving new and existing business goals and supporting the Team Leader in providing a high-quality service to new and existing customers

 

Overview

As an Associate Pension Administrator, you’ll play a key role in keeping our pension operations running smoothly. You’ll be responsible for accurate data management, handling client queries, liaising with pension providers, and ensuring all processes meet compliance standards.

This is a great role for someone detail-oriented who enjoys problem-solving, wants to develop in the pensions sector, and thrives in a supportive team environment.
